Develop strong foundations to lead
An excellent introduction into understanding leadership styles, this module examines the roles and responsibilities of a leader. The factors that will influence the choice of leadership styles or behaviours in workplace situations are identified as well as the differences between leadership and management. Facilitator-led discussions as to why different leadership styles or behaviours are likely to have a positive or negative effect on individuals and group behaviour further help participants to reflect on their own current practice. Participants are given opportunities to review their own leadership qualities and potential using a range of recognised leadership models and to develop actions to help them enhance their leadership style. Emphasis is placed on specific work placed examples and encourages participants to focus on their own organisation’s working practices and culture.
