Project Kick-Off Course

Overview

This typically two day course builds together people or groups from different teams and organisations that have come together to work on a project. It tests processes such as decision making, change management and conflict resolution.
By the end of the course strong relationships will have developed within the new team.

What you get

At the end of this course project partners will have:
  • Better relationships
  • Improved communication skills
  • Tested decision making processes
  • Tested change management processes
  • The tools to resolve conflict.

How it works

The course consists of a simple and fun exercise involving creating a plan and then completing a variety of physical, mental and creative tasks. Some of these tasks typically involve an outdoor element such as speed boat driving, caving, abseiling or similar. The exercise is designed to focus on relationship building and communication skills but includes elements of decision making and change management.

Throughout the exercise reviews are carried out and focus is given to decision making, communication, change management and conflict resolution. Lessons learned from the exercise are identified and applied forward where appropriate.

This course can be delivered as a standard course or designed specifically around a client’s needs and culture. Typically the course is delivered from a hotel at a location close to where the project is being delivered.
