This September, Red Rock International delivered the first BG Energy Challenge to take place in the former Soviet held republic of Kazakhstan.

The challenging Adventure Race event tested teamwork, ingenuity, technical skill, and team commitment. The teams were made up of representatives of a number of companies working in the Energy sector - including Shell, Chevron, Deloittes and others.
The teams competed against one another to complete a number of stages including a mountain bike trek, a river crossing and a gruelling wilderness run.

The event was designed and delivered by Red Rock working with the Great Game Travel Company. Competitors raised money for the National Paralympic Committee of Kazakhstan. Since 1996, worldwide BG Group Energy Challenges have contributed around $3 million to charity.
Red Rock founder Nick Ashley said: "It was great to see competitors gaining real benefits from the event - while at the same time giving something back to the country in which they work.
"This was a very rich experience in many different ways."
"I really enjoyed the event to the full. At the start it was clear my
team was not fit enough to compete for a good ranking, and that the
focus would be to get through as well as we could. But this meant we
focused on other communication/team working skills and the great point
is that the event was structured in such a way that this was possible
and indeed encouraged this"
